Summary
This project proposes to verify of dimension, shape and location influences of bulk solid silo outlets and discharging hoppers on horizontal wall pressures in the act of discharge process. Measurements will proceed at the experimental silo with tensiometers located on a perimeter. The experimental silo has been designed at the Laboratory of Bulk
Materials, Institute of Transportation, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava. The aim of these measurements is elimination of flow problem so called arches at the bulk solid silos by way of outlet and discharging hopper geometry. The horizontal wall pressure measurements will be provided for arches localization at the experimental silo. Will be compare results for 4 different types (different from shape, dimension and density) of bulk solids in this project.
